Long-time Southington Business to Close
The jewelry store owner's health has been declining.

A 30-year-old Southington business will shut its doors on Christmas Eve.
Polumbo Jewelers, located at 26 N. Main St., is closing because its owner is in declining health, according to the Record-Journal.
Joseph Polumbo and his wife, Mary Polumbo, started the business in Plainville in 1981 and opened the Southington store in 1985.

Saleswoman Sheryl Eighmie told the Record-Journal that all remaining inventory is heavily discounted.
