Lottery Games Enjoy Magical Monday In Southington

One Southington resident won a nice lotto prize, while a Southington business sold a winning ticket.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — It was a magical Monday as far as the lottery is concerned in Southington, with one resident winning a nice prize and a Southingtion establishment selling one.

Southington resident Pauline Gendreau Monday won $10,000 in the $100,000 Cashword 11 scratch-off game, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp.

The winning ticket, which costs $10 to play, was purchased in nearby New Britain at a Dairy Store market there.

Meanwhile, a Southington-based store Monday sold a winning scratch-off game ticket as well.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., King Food Mart Inc. sold a ticket worth $20,000 to an unnamed resident of Plainville.

The game sold, state officials said, was a 20X Cash 8th Edition scratch-off game that costs $20 to play.
