Lunch & Learn: Movement disorders can cause life to be shaky

A free Lunch & Learn about movement disorders will be held Thursday, June 21, noon-1 p.m., at Hospital of Central Connecticut in Southington

SOUTHINGTON - The shaking of the body or head can be disruptive to life by making it impossible to do many everyday tasks including driving, eating or reading. A free Lunch & Learn about movement disorders will be held Thursday, June 21, noon-1 p.m., at Hospital of Central Connecticut, Bradley Memorial campus, 81 Meriden Ave. Topics will include how potential tremor disorders can be indicative of different health conditions as well how they are diagnosed, options in managing your tremors and surgical options available. Presenter will be Duarte Machado, MD, board-certified neurologist, Hartford HealthCare Medical Group. This event is sponsored by Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging.
