Major Water Main Project In Southington To Resume At Month's End

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A water main construction project on Berlin Street and Lacey Road in Southington is scheduled to restart later this month, with work expected to continue into late spring.
Southington Water Works said Wednesday that construction will tentatively resume on March 30.
The project is expected to conclude in late May, though officials noted the timeline could extend if conditions require.

Ludlow Construction Co. Inc. will carry out the work between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The same traffic management plan used during the fall 2025 phase will remain in place while construction is underway.

The project includes replacing water service lines along Berlin Street and Lacey Road, installing new water mains on both roads, and connecting the new main on Berlin Street to existing mains on nearby side streets.
Construction materials and equipment will continue to be stored in the open space area at Berkley Court during the project.
Water department officials said the area will be restored to its original condition once construction is complete.
