Man Accused Of Assaulting Southington Officers

A man is facing charges after an incident at a Southington home.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A 25-year-old Southington resident has been charged with two counts of assaulting an officer after an incident at his Beecher Street home, police said.

Ryan Garry was served a warrant Tuesday for the June 28 incident, police said.

That day, officers went to his home for a medical call, during which Garry was "rambling and not making sense," according to a report. He then stood up and took a "fighting posture" before charging officers, according to a report.

Garry continued to fight with officers, and, after a brief struggle, was was taken into custody.

Garry was not hurt and two officers suffered minor injuries, according to a report.
