Man Caught With A 'Shoplifting Tool' in Southington: Police

He was arrested on election day, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Waterbury man was caught with what police are describing as a"shoplifting tool" on Election Day, Southington police said.

Police on Thursday announced the arrest of Slavatore Ferraiolo, 33, of Waterbury.

In addition to possessing the tool, police said he was charged with risk of injury and criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny.

He was assigned a bond of $10,000 and had a court date of Nov. 21, police said.
