SOUTHINGTON, CT — A man is accused of punching the current friend of an ex-friend in Southington, police said.
At 4:28 a.m. on Monday, Besnik Fera, 28, of Colonial Avenue, Waterbury, surrendered at Southington police headquarters after learning there was an active warrant for his arrest, police said.

The warrant stems from a domestic violence investigation on Jan. 20 at a residence in Wheeler Village, police said. The warrant alleges that on that date, Fera entered the apartment of an ex-girlfriend through an unlocked door and punched a friend of the ex-girlfriend under the left eye, police said.
The incident took place in the garage area of the apartment as the ex-girlfriend and her friend were standing in the garage, police said. The friend suffered a cut and swelling under the eye but refused medical attention on scene, police said.
