For the Oct. 8 caper that took place during the annual Apple Harvest Festival, he was charged April 7 with second-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny, records show.

On Oct. 8, a TD Bank teller told investigators that a man entered the branch, handed her a note threatening violence and left with an undisclosed amount of money, according to a police report. During the incident a weapon was implied but not displayed, police said. Police received several calls after releasing descriptions of the man identifying him as Latino, according to a report.

Along with the witness identifications, investigators used DNA evidence, cell phone records, and other evidence that "positively connected Latino to this bank robbery," along with multiple bank robberies that subsequently occurred in Plainville over the following days, according to a report.

On April 7, Latino was served with arrest warrants for the Plainville and Southington robberies, police said.
