Upon arrival, police discovered both of the front doors were pried open and alcohol was stolen.

Store video showed the suspect entering the store and "stealing several bottles of alcohol," with a second male outside the store acting as a lookout, police said.

Police said, during that investigation, officers discovered an attempted burglary at a second liquor store, West Side Spirits, 718 West St.

In this instance, the SPD said suspects unsuccessfully attempted to gain entry, likely the result of other police activity in the area.

"Following the two incidents in Southington, information was shared with surrounding agencies, reporting similar burglaries," police said in a statement Friday morning.

Eventually, the SPD learned Naugatuck police interrupted a liquor store burglary in progress, resulting in an arrest of the same suspect.

Southington’s investigation was able to link Spadaccini and his vehicle to the incidents that occurred in town, resulting in an arrest warrant, police said.

Police saidthe investigation remains ongoing and charges pending for the attempted burglary at West Side Spirits.

"The success of Southington’s investigation was a credit to the collaborative effort amongst multiple agencies," wrote police Friday.
