Man Damaged Southington Apartment While Roughing Up Woman: Report
Southington police have charged a man in a violenct incident with a knife.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A man is accused of damaging an apartment in Southington while roughing up a woman.
Police on Wednesday charged Jose M. Torres, 30, of Southington with second-degree threatening, third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief.
According to a report, Torres became involved in a dispute with a woman a local apartment complex. He is accused of punching her in the head and body, pushing her into a door hard enough to damage the residence, threatening to to stab her and slashing her car tires with the knife as he left the premises.

The woman sustained minor injuries, police said.
Torres was located in Bristol by local police and, after Southington police arrived, Torres was in
possession of a knife, according to a report.

Torres was held Wednesday morning on a $50,000 bond and was to appear in court later in the day.
