Man Exposed Himself At Southington Walgreens Pharmacy: Police

The 37-year-old suspect will appear in court on Jan. 14 in connection with the incident on New Year's Eve.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A 37-year-old Waterbury man has been accused of exposing himself inside a Southington pharmacy on New Year's Eve.

The Southington Police Department Monday said Jose M. Valdivia, 37, of Waterbury, was charged with two counts of indecent exposure and two counts of disorderly conduct.

Valdivia was taken into custody on a $25,000 bond and, after posting the bond, he is scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on Jan. 14, police said.

According to police, officers were called to the Walgreens pharmacy at 359 Main St. at about 8:58 a.m. for a report that a male was sexually exposing himself to females in the store.

Descriptions were provided for both the male suspect as well as the vehicle he was seen entering, as he was leaving the store parking lot, police said.

Investigating officers also obtained statements from multiple female victims at Walgreens and secured video surveillance from the business itself, the SPD said.

Officers canvassed the area and located the vehicle in question approximately a mile from the store.

A traffic stop of the vehicle was made and the operator of the vehicle was identified and taken into custody.
