Southington police said, at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to the bar for a report that one of two men brandished a firearm toward bar staff.
"Before officers arrived, the two suspects had left the bar and fled in a black BMW sedan," the SPD wrote in a release Friday. "Officers quickly located the vehicle on Bristol Street and attempted a traffic stop."
Police said when the vehicle didn't stop, officers deployed "Stop Sticks" to damage the tire as it fled toward Plantsville Center, but the vehicle was able to evade police.
According to witnesses at 75 Center, a brief verbal argument occurred between patrons there and two suspect males.
Police said one of the males retrieved a black handgun from his rear waistband and pointed it at the two victims.
According to police, the two males then left the bar and fled in their vehicle.
Southington police identify both males, including the man believed to have pointed the firearm, which police said was Ramos.
As a result, police secured search warrants for both Ramos’ vehicle and his residence, along with an arrest warrant.
On Friday, the Central Region- Emergency Response Team (CR-ERT), along with assistance from the cities of West Haven and New Haven, took Ramos into custody without incident at his residence.
