More Compassion Needed

It has been one year of repeated suffering for those who have faced loosing a loved one.  Why must the news media continue to repeat what has passed?  Why must they remind us of when, how, and where this all took place? We need to live in the present and not in the past.  Those that suffer from this know what happened and they live with it every day. All the media and those that feel they need to know all that took place have done is continue to bring the suffering to the top.
We live in a world that feeds on suffering, on movies with death and violence and constant news that reminds us of all this.  If there should come a time when all of this vanishes, the world we live in will be a better place.  We continue to say this will not happen so lets just continue on this journey.
Let us not only stand for what caused this and other suffering in this world but also discontinue living in the past.  Let those that have suffered this and other tragedies take breath and continue their lives without having to live the past over and over.  Let the children and others live the present and move on with their lives.  Let this holiday be more peaceful, loving, and joyful and let us all have compassion for those of Newtown and throughout the world.
