More Domestic Violence Arrests for Southington Man

A Southington man has had a series of domestic violence incidents since the new year began.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Southington man who began the new year with a domestic violence arrest is facing more charges for subsequent incidents, police said.

On Wednesday at 11 a.m., officers responded to 676 Mulberry Street for a report of a protective order violation, police said.

David Forgione, 59 of Southington, was taken into custody and charged with violation of a
protective order and second-degree breach of peace, police said, He was held on a $200,000 bond and was to appear in court on Thursday, police said.

Forgione was allegedly blocking the driveway with his vehicle at a local residence. Forgione then exited his vehicle and allegedly physically blocked the victim from leaving in a vehicle, police said. The victim then called 911 to report the incident, police said.

Officers found Forgione as he was attempting to get back into his vehicle.

A full, no-contact protective order has been in place with the victim, police said.

The victim also reported two other incidents, police said.

On Jan. 2, Forgione allegedly returned to the victim's residence after being released on a $20,000 bond from another domestic violence incident that took place on Jan. 1, police said,

There was no contact between the Victim and Forgione during the incident, however returning to the residence violated the conditions of release that Forgione signed while being released from custody, police said.

On Jan. 8, Forgione allegedly contacted the victim via text message in violation of the order, police said.

Forgione was subsequently charged with violating the conditions of release and violating the protective order, police said.
