Mother, Acquaintance Plead Not Guilty in Baby Negligence Case
The two allegedly left the two-week-old in a cold car while shopping at an adult store.

A mother and her acquaintance who were arrested for allegedly leaving a baby in a cold car to go shopping at an adult store pleaded not guilty in court Thursday.
Lindsay Hoffmann had her bond increased to $100,000 and Marquette Riggsbee had his bond increased to $150,000, according to the Record-Journal. Their original bonds were $25,000 each, according to police.
The Department of Children and Families took the two-week old baby into protective custody and is conducting its own investigation.

Riggsbee was arrested in August 2014 on charges of trafficking persons, conspiracy, coercion, promoting prostitution and unlawful restraint, according to court records. He has pleaded not guilty to charges and is awaiting trial.
Hoffmann pleaded guilty to prostitution and failure to appear in 2013, according to court records.
