Motorcycle Crashes into Rock in Southington

The driver was thrown and hit a utility pole, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington police are investigating a serious motorcycle crash that took place on Friday afternoon.

The crash took place at 2:46 p.m. on Savage Street, police said.

Robbin Sisti, 56, of Southington, was operating a motorcycle on East Street traveling in a westerly direction, police said. Sisti drove the motorcycle off the north side of the roadway and the bike struck a large rock and Sisti struck a utility pole, police said.

Both Sisti and the motorcycle landed in some brush on the side of the road, police said.

Sisti sustained non-life threatening, but serious injuries, police said. She was transported to Waterbury Hospital for further evaluation and treatment, police said.
