Motorcycle Rider Killed After Crash In Southington: Police
Southington police investigating the motorcycle-versus-pickup truck collision.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Plainville man was killed after the motorcycle he was operating collided with a pickup truck on Queen Street in Southington Tuesday evening.
Southington police identified the victim as being David Sanabria, 39, of Plainville, who the department said was operating a 2016 Guzzi Moto motorcycle traveling north on Queen Street.
According to a Southington Police Department release, which was issued at 6:03 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the area of 279 Queen St. at about 6:23 p.m. for a report of a car versus motorcycle accident.

In addition to Sanabria's motorcycle, the crash involved a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that was being driven by Southington resident Robert Keating, police said.
Police said Keating's pickup was traveling southbound on Queen Street, with both vehicles colliding in the northbound lane.

According to police, Sanabria appeared to suffer "serious physical injuries" and was transported to a local hospital, where he was eventually pronounced dead.
Keating did not appear to suffer any injuries, the SPD said.
This collision is still being investigated by the Southington Police Department Accident Investigation Team.
