Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt In Southington Crash: Police
The crash happened late Sunday night and involved another vehicle on South Main Street.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local police are investigating a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle Sunday night that seriously injured the motorcycle's 66-year-old rider.
According to the Southington Police Department Monday morning, at about 10:47 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to South Main and Mulberry streets for a report of a motor vehicle versus motorcycle collision with injuries.
Police said a 66-year-old motorcyclist was operating a 2003 Yamaha XVS1100 motorcycle southbound on South Main Street.

According to the SPD, at the same time, a 34-year-old male was operating a 2013 Nissan Xterra northbound on South Main Street.
Police said the Nissan began a left turn onto Interstate 84 East when the two vehicles collided in the southbound lane of South Main Street, near the I-84 on-ramp.

According to the SPD, the rider of the motorcycle "appeared to have suffered significant injuries" and was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury for treatment.
Donovan did not suffer any injuries, according to police.
"The collision is still being investigated by the Southington Police Department Accident Investigation Team," wrote the SPD in a release Monday morning.
