New App Allows Folks To Use Southington Library With Their Phones

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Public Library has announced the launch of a new mobile app that allows patrons of participating libraries to search the catalog, manage accounts, and check out materials from their smartphones.
The Library Connection Mobile App is now available for download through major app stores. Users can find it by searching for "Library Connection Mobile," according to the library.
The app includes several features designed to make library services more accessible, including the ability to search the catalog, place holds, renew materials, and link multiple library accounts.

Patrons can also use the app for mobile self-checkout and to scan ISBN barcodes when searching for books.
Library officials encouraged residents with questions about the new app to contact the Reference Desk.
