Though the jackpot was for $1.7 million, if you choose the lump sum payment, you're still looking at a $1.2 million payout — not bad for a ticket that costs just $1 to play.
And the winning ticket is more than good news for the player, as the owner of the Exxon station gets a $10,000 retailer commission, according to the lottery corp.
To whoever the new rich person is, the odds were stacked against them as the overall chance of winning anything in Lotto! is 1 in 39.3, with the odds of the full jackpot being 1 in 7.1 million.
