New Police Dog Joins Southington Department

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Police Department this week welcomed the newest member of its canine team — Police dog Kay.

The Hometown Foundation Inc. and The Joe & Kay Calvanese Foundation helped the department with a donation and location of Canine Kay.

Kay will work with his handler, Officer David Carbone, in the coming weeks. The team will soon begin a three-month training academy session.
