New Rules Posted For Southington Transfer Station
New rules have been declared for those using the Southington Transfer Station.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington police on Thursday posted new rules regarding the local transfer station.
The facility is located at 617 Old Turnpike Road.
Effective Immediately and "until further notice," all residents using the transfer station must enter the property from the northbound lane of travel, the announcement indicated.

No motorists will be allowed to make a left hand turn from the Southbound lane of travel into the facility. Signage will be in place to direct motorists, according to the announcement.
A representative from the Town Clerk’s Office will be at the Highway / Parks Garage on April 6 and 13 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to issue new permits, according to the announcement.

Residents will not be able to use the transfer station without a new permit, officials said.
