Called 'Connecticut Unfiltered,' it will debut this week in Southington with a trailer preview and guest announcements.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A new storytelling podcast focused on Connecticut residents will debut this week with a special launch event in Southington.

"Connecticut Unfiltered," hosted by local creator Ellie Doyle of Reheated Coffee Club, is scheduled to premiere Thursday, March 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. at SoLA Karaoke in Factory Square, 168 Chester St., Southington.

The podcast will feature conversations with residents across the state, including business owners, community leaders, and others sharing personal experiences.

Doyle said the project is intended to highlight the people behind Connecticut’s communities rather than focus on traditional news coverage.

“Connecticut gets labeled a drive-through state a lot,” Doyle said. “But when you actually sit down with people here, you realize how many are intentionally choosing to build their lives here. This podcast is about those conversations — why people stay, why they return, and what makes this place home.”

The launch event will include the debut of the podcast’s trailer, featuring its first guest, Anthony Anthony, a former chief marketing officer for the state and founder of Running Club Consulting.

Organizers said attendees will also hear announcements about the first season and remarks from supporting partners, including Keating Insurance, The Happy Confection, and Pink Tractor Crew.

The March 26 gathering is intended as a preview for invited media, local businesses, and community creators ahead of the podcast’s wider public release.
