New Voters To Be Registered At Special Southington HS Event

The local registrar of voters will be setting up at Southington High Tuesday to register new voters who will be 18 by this Election Day.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — One GOP presidential hopeful may want to increase the voting age to 25, but it is still 18 and has been on a national basis since the early 1970s.

And, because of that, students at Southington High School who will turn 18 prior to the 2023 municipal elections in November can register to vote at SHS on Tuesday.

Any student who will be 18 years of age on or before Election Day Nov. 7 can register to vote.
