Object-Throwing Road Rage Leads to Southington Charges

Two men are facing charges as a result of the incident.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Two men have been charged for throwing stuff at each other's vehicles during a road rage incident in Southington, police said.

The incident took place on July 29, police said. Joseph Maldonado, 25, of Meriden, and David Verchinski, 32, of Southington, were involved in a road rage incident, and wound up throwing objects at each other's vehicles, police said.

Maldonado was charged with throwing objects at a motor vehicle, third-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree breach of peace, police said.

Verchinski was charged with throwing objects at a motor vehicle and second-degree breach of peace, police said.

Both are scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on Aug. 7, police said.
