Parents of Students at Middle School in Southington Warned of Possible Exposure to Shingles

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Officials at John F. Kennedy Middle School have sent out an advisory to parents that students may have been exposed to shingles.

The notice was sent out Thursday, a school official said.

One student had a case of shingles and the situation was never considered to be an emergency, an official said.

The note was intended to make parents aware of possible exposure in case they wanted their children to see a doctor, an official said.
