Parking Ban Extended Further in Southington

Police are also suggesting that 'non-essential' vehicles stay off local roads.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Town officials on Tuesday extended an on-street parking ban because of heavy accumulating snow.

This ban will remain in effect until 6 a.m. on Thursday, police said.

Police are also requesting that all "non-essential vehicles stay off of all roads in Southington.

"This travel restriction is being implemented for the safety of all Southington residents and will allow for storm response crews to safely clear roadways, and allow emergency services to respond to calls for service within the town," police said.
