Pedestrian Hurt After Being Hit By Vehicle In Southington: Police

The adult male was attempting to cross the street late Thursday night.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle on Queen Street in Southington late Thursday night.

According to the Southington Police Department on Friday, the incident happened at about 11:36 p.m. in the area of Queen and Spring Streets.

Police said an adult male wearing dark clothing was attempting to cross Queen Street and was hit by another vehicle heading south on that road.

The vehicle and operator remained on the scene of the crash, according to the SPD.

Police said the man was transported to a nearby hospital where it was reported he was alert, conscious, and in stable condition.

After being closed, the roadway was eventually reopened there.
