Pedestrian Walking On Southington Highway Causes Major Traffic Mess
Connecticut state police detained the individual, and the pedestrian was evaluated by medical personnel.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — A male pedestrian walking in the middle of Interstate 84 in Southington caused a brief, albeit major, traffic mess Friday morning.
According to Connecticut State Police on Friday morning, troopers out of Troop H in Hartford were called to Southington to respond to reports of "an individual walking on the highway."
Footage from state traffic cameras relayed by WFSB Channel 3 showed that state police quickly closed multiple lanes of the highway to detain the individual.
