Physical therapy may be effective headache treatment

WALLINGFORD - Approximately 45 million Americans, or 1 in 6 people, complain about headaches each year. This painful condition can negatively impact work, personal activities and quality of life. A free program, “Do You Suffer from Headaches,” will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, 10:30 a.m., at Wallingford Senior Center, 238 Washington St. Sarah Buzzuto, physical therapist, with Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network will provide information on how physical therapy can help lessen the frequency and intensity of the headaches and discuss how therapy and manual medicine are key components to headache care at Hartford HealthCare. Hartford HealthCare Senior Services is sponsoring.
