Physical therapy may provide headache relief

BERLIN - Each year, approximately 45 million Americans, or 1 in 6 people, complain about headaches, which can negatively impact work, personal life and quality of life. Physical therapy can help alleviate symptoms, and lessen the frequency and intensity of the headaches. A free program on this topic will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, 1 p.m., at Berlin Senior Center, 33 Colonial Drive. Presenter Matthew Kurimai, physical therapist, of Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network, will discuss how therapy and manual medicine can impact headache care. Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is sponsoring.
