Physical therapy may provide headache relief

BERLIN - Each year, approximately 45 million Americans, or 1 in 6 people, complain about headaches, which can negatively impact work, personal life and quality of life. Physical therapy can help alleviate symptoms, and lessen the frequency and intensity of the headaches. A free program on this topic will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, 1 p.m., at Berlin Senior Center, 33 Colonial Drive. Presenter Matthew Kurimai, physical therapist, of Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network, will discuss how therapy and manual medicine can impact headache care.
