Piece of Sandy Hook Mural in Southington Goes Missing

SOUTHINGTON, CT — One of the butterflies honoring the 26 people killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook school shootings has gone missing from a mural on the rail trail, police said.
On Monday at 8:04 a.m., Southington police responded to Rails-to-Trails section behind Ragozzino's Deli, 245 Summer Street after a theft was reported, according to a report.
Police said it one of the 26 wooden butterflies was discovered from the Sandy Hook mural.

It is unclear as to when the butterfly was taken from the mural, according to a report.
