Pizza Highlights Lawmaker's Forum Friday In Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — If discussing legislative policy isn't your cup of tea, state Rep. Francis Cooley, R- Plainville, has just the thing to bring you to one of his forums — pizza.

Cooley, who serves the 22nd House District towns of Plainville, part of Farmington and part of Southington, is hosting "Pizza & Policy" on Friday, Feb. 2, at a Southington pizza restaurant.

Southington residents are especially encouraged to attend the informal meeting on Friday, Feb. 2, at 6 P.M. at JD's Pizzeria, Bar & Grill, 713 Queen St., in Southington.

Cooley will discuss the upcoming 2024 legislative session and answer any questions folks may have about state government.

He said he wants to hear from his constituents, and any questions or concerns, they might have about state government and hear your ideas for proposed legislation.

Cooley said, under the joint rules of the General Assembly, the deadline for submission of proposed bills is 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9.
