'Planned Power Outage' Scheduled For Next Week In Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT - What the power company is calling "a planned power outage" is scheduled for Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., police announded Wednesday.

The rain date is Tuesday during the same time frame, police said.

Eversource Energy said the planned power outage is part of a conversion that will take place in Southington.

The outage will affect 239 customers from the intersection of Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike and South End Road to McKenzie Drive, police said.

All of the side streets within the area will also be affected, police said.
