
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southingtoin police are investigating a fatal crash that took plce on Sunday at a busy intersection.
At 2:14 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on West Street at the intersection of West Queen Street, according to a report. Preliminary investigations revealed the operator of a Nissan Altima, Carlos Barrios, was traveling southbound on West Street in the area of West Queen Street, police said.
The operator of a Lexus ES300, Jason Dominguez, was traveling westbound on West Queen Street into the intersection of West Street and was struck on the passenger side of the vehicle by the Nissan as it traveled into the intersection, police said.

The front seat passenger of the Lexus, Jimmy Cintron-Guzman, sustained serious injuries and was later
pronounced deceased at St. Mary’s Hospital, police said.
Dominguez was treated and transported to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Barrios was treated on scene and transported to Waterbury Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
