Police: Southington Man Assaulted Firefighter, Police Officer
The man allegedly failed a field sobriety test after driving to a scene.

Southington Police arrested a man who allegedly assaulted a firefighter and police officer after an accident on May 21.
Police said that Craig Henderson, 30 of Southington drove his vehicle to the area of Mt. Vernon Road where a car vs. tree accident occurred. He believed that a family member was involved in the accident. The operator fled the scene.
Henderson allegedly pushed past a firefighter and police officer and had to be subdued.

The officer reported back pain and scratches and the firefighter reported a hand injury. Henderson allegedly failed a field sobriety test.
Henderson was charged with assault on a police officer, assault on a public servant (firefighter), interfering with police and driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol.

He posted a $50,000 bond.
