Police: Suspect Stole Cash, Credit Cards At Southington Walmart

Southington police are looking for the identity of a suspect captured on surveillance who stole an employee's backpack in the break room.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local police are searching for a suspect believed to have invaded the Southington Walmart's employee lounge and stolen a backpack with cash and credit cards.

The Southington Police Department Wednesday night released a surveillance image of the suspect taken at the Walmart store on 235 Queen St.

Police said the male suspect entered the back room at Walmart (the employee break room) and removed an employee's backpack.

According to the SPD, the suspect took the backpack into a restroom and removed cash as well as a credit card, which he tried to use to make online purchases.
