Popular Hiking/Jogging Site In Southington Getting Makeover

Work on repaving the trail in town is expected to be complete by the end of the month.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A popular hiking/biking/jogging spot in town is closed as crews look to give the trail a new, smooth look.

Work to re-pave the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in town started Friday, June 28, and it is expected to continue through the end of July, according to town officials.

As the project goes on, trail entrances/exits will be secured afterward with a combination of traffic cones, drums, and warning tape.
