Popular Steakhouse On Southington Development Radar
A popular steakhouse could be the next addition to Southington's culinary offerings.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Officials from the LongHorn steakhouse restaurant chain are being very hush-hush about the whole matter, but it looks like it could be the next addition to Southington's culinary offerings.
Planning and Zoning officials tabled an application for a new LongHorn on a parcel off West Street Tuesday and will likely re-visit the plans in early March, officials said. The exact address of the parcel is 200 Executive Boulevard, records show.
The application, filed this month, is for a site plan modification to fit a 5,000-square-foot restaurant — speficially mentioned as a Longhorn — in the parcel with an accopanying parking lot.

Longhorn spokeswoman Brittany Baron said chain officials do not comment on any location unless it is "approved" in some way by regulatory authorities.
Longhorn already has a presence in Connecticut, including restaurants in Manchester, Enfield, North Haven, Waterford and Shelton.
