Prevent trips and falls in the ice and snow

Southington Care Center exercise physiologist leads free program Wed., Dec. 18, 1p, Plainville Senior Center, 200 East St. 860.747.5728.

PLAINVILLE – Avoiding slips and falls isn’t always easy especially in the winter. However, if a fall is inevitable, knowing how to fall safely - backwards and forwards – can reduce the risk or lessen the severity of injury. A free program, “Staying on Your Feet on the Ice and Snow,” will be held Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1 p.m., at Plainville Senior Center, 200 East St. Presenter will be Lisa Murawski, exercise physiologist, GoodLife Fitness at Southington Care Center. Southington Care Center is sponsoring.
