Program examines ways to live more pain free with spinal stenosis

UNIONVILLE – Spinal stenosis, the narrowing of spaces in the backbone, can cause painful pressure on the spinal cord and nerves, often causing significant pain in the back of the leg and lower back. David Santoro, MBA, OTR/L, director of Hartford HealthCare Bone and Joint Institute, will present the free program, “Living with Spinal Stenosis,” on Wednesday, April 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Farmington Senior Center, 321 New Britain Ave. This event, sponsored by Hartford HealthCare Senior Services, will provide information about the causes, diagnosis and treatments.
