Program showcases dangers of medication complications in older adults

NEW BRITAIN – As people age, it is not uncommon to take multiple medications. However, unknown interactions can cause complications or even be dangerous. A free Dinner with the Expert program on Tuesday, July 19 will feature an internationally known expert on geriatric pharmacy who will discuss how to ensure a medication regimen is safe. This event is set for 5 to 7 p.m., at Arbor Rose at Jerome Home, 975 Corbin Ave. Sean M. Jeffery, PharmD, CGP, FASCP, FNAP, AGSF, director of Clinical Pharmacy Services, Integrated Care Partners, Hartford HealthCare, will lead the program.
