Public Hearing Slated for Additional Rules Regulating Construction in Southington

The hearing is scheduled for October.

SOUHTINGTON, CT — A public hearing has been scheduled for next month to give residents a crack at a proposed modification to an ordinance regulating contruction activity.

The hearing is being offered by the Town Council on Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. in the John Weichsel Municipal Center Public Assembly Room.

The intent of the modification is, "to protect, preserve and promote the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Town of Southington through the regulation of noise generated by construction activity," according to a draft.
