Recent Death Notices From Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington death notices as of Sept. 11, 2026:

• Eileen Marie Barrett, 74, died Sept. 6. She was born in Hartford, the daughter of the late James T. and Effie E. (O'Connor) Barrett, and died at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. She is survived by her son Eric Lord and his wife Wynne of Southington and three grandchildren.

• Georgianne F. Krajewski, 77, died Sept. 6. A Southington High School graduate, she spent 34 years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Southington and Cheshire, advancing from bench mechanic to a leadership role in the PW4000 jet engine inspection program, then worked at Walmart after retiring. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thaddeus "Ted" Krajewski, sons Patrick and Eric, daughter Kelly, and three grandchildren.

• Angela Zacchia, 79, died Sept. 1. She retired from General Electric after 36 years and was a member of the Italian Rosary Society and the Sorelle d'Italia in America Club. She was known for gardening and preserving tomatoes using traditional methods. She is survived by her daughter Maria Gagnon, three granddaughters, and her sister Cristina.

• Mario J. Ferreri, 91, died Aug. 27. He completed a 40-year career as a toolmaker with New Departure Hyatt (General Motors), retiring in 1993, and served five years in the National Guard and U.S. Army. He immigrated from Siderno, Italy, in 1938 and settled in Meriden. He is survived by two sons, Joseph and Michael, both of Southington, six grandchildren, and a sister.

• Angelina Sonia DiBacco, 85, died Aug. 26. She was born in Pratola Peligna, Italy, and worked at North American Philips Technology in Cheshire, retiring as a supervisor in 1998. She is survived by two sons, Ricky and Americo DiBacco, both of Southington, and a sister in Italy.

• Iolanda Marcuccio, 85, died Aug. 26. She was born in Caiazzo, Italy, worked at Rex Forge and later retired from Tollman Spring. She was known for gardening, winemaking, and preparing family meals. She is survived by three sons — Pietro of Bristol, Pasquale, and Maurizio of Southington — and two sisters in Italy.
