Reimbursement Rates Adjusted for Southington Firefighters
Fire commissioners took up the matter in Southington on Thursday.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Board of Fire Commissioners on Thursday voted to adjust the system of reimbursement for volunteer firefighters, the Record-Journal Reported.
Complaints had been filed with state labor officials claiming that compensation rates for both firefighters and officers failed to coincide with the minimum wage of $9.60 per hour.
Commissioners said that financial concerns were secondary to fixing a system that wasn’t legal, the R-J reported.
