Resident Wins Big Playing Lottery In Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A local resident's visit to a Southington convenience store this week has resulted in more than just what the customer was looking to buy.

This individual walked out with a lottery ticket worth $100,000.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the winning game was a Cash 5 drawing, with the ticket purchased Monday, Jan. 22, at Westview Convenience, 662 West St.

Cash 5 only costs $1 to play, with 50-cent "kicker" options available to increase the odds a bit.
