The American Red Cross is conducting a blood drive on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the Southington Fire Department.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Folks have the chance Wednesday to join the Southington Fire Department and help save a life.
But unlike firefighters, those being sought don't have to run into a burning building. They just have to roll up a sleeve.
The SFD is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Southington Fire Department firehouse on 310 N. Main St., Southington.

There, volunteers will be able to give a little bit of themselves and, possibly, give life to someone badly in need of a blood transfusion.
Those who do volunteer will also walk away with more than just the satisfaction of helping their fellow man. They'll leave with a $15 e-gift card from a merchant of their choice.
