Routine Change Leads To Big Win For Southington Lottery Player
A Southington lottery player cashed in a big prize last month.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Southington lottery player broke his routine last month and then broke the bank with a five-figure jackpot.
"This feels awesome," 23-year-old Tyler Longley said of his win in a scratch game.
"I never expected to win a lottery prize this big," Longley said. "Normally, I only buy the $1 or $2 scratch tickets, every couple months or so. This time, on a whim, I bought a $30 ticket because all I was buying with a hundred dollar bill was a soda and a bag of chips."

Longley said he picked the 30X Cash 6th Edition ticket because it was the first game in the dispenser.
Longley said when he scratched his ticket and saw the $10,000 prize, he was shocked.

"It took a day for me to believe this actually happened," Tyler said. "I'm going to pay off my debt with this and have money left over."
