Savory program focuses on the science of ice cream

WEST HARTFORD – When enjoying ice cream, fans do not usually consider the science of making the tasty treat. On Tuesday, July 18 (new date), Jefferson House Head Chef Jack Hodes will create quick freeze ice cream using liquid nitrogen to make mini portions, meeting almost every culinary preference whether low fat, dairy free and more. This free culinary program be held 10:30 a.m. at Elmwood Senior Center, 1106 New Britain Ave. Jefferson House is sponsoring the event.
