Search Intensifies For Missing 19-year-old In Southington
Local police said Nyla Kristina Tolo, who has developmental disabilities, has been missing since Saturday.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — The search for a young woman with developmental disabilities continued with added urgency Wednesday in Southington, with local police releasing more information and photos of the 19-year-old.
The Southington Police Department said late Wednesday morning it is looking for Nyla Kristina Tolo, who police said "suffers from developmental disabilities and was last seen on Saturday, Aug. 20."
According to police, Tolo's family reported she was last seen around 10 p.m. Saturday at her residence off Mount Vernon Road.

"It is believed Tolo may have been picked up in the area by an unidentified person," police said in a statement Wednesday. "Family report Tolo left her residence without her cell phone and has not made any attempts to contact family since leaving."
Police said family reported Tolo does not leave the house without a red and black flannel shirt, a black backpack and wears an orange or salmon-colored fanny pack around her waist.

According to a Silver Alert issued Tuesday, Tolo is described as a white, Hispanic female standing 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighing 182 pounds.
She has brown hair and hazel eyes and has what is described as an "intellectual disability disorder," police said.
